Gross-Domestic Product, 2000-2012 (ревидирани податоци)

In 2013, in order to ensure comparability of national accounts data and with harmonisation as the highest priority,
the State Statistical Office began the process of revision of national accounts data for the time series 2000-2012.

The main reason for the data revision was the need to publish consistent annual data for the series 2000-2012
that will include all methodological improvements in terms of the methods of calculation and better data sources, mainly
available in the last period of the specified time frame.

Another particularly important reason is the preparation of data in accordance with the new methodology ESA
2010 (European System of Accounts 2010), adopted by the European Parliament, and the methodology SNA 2008 (System
of National Accounts 2008) as a common international standard of 2009.

The result of the revision is this separate edition of the Office, which contains revised national accounts data for
the 2000-2012 series.

The data revision is in accordance with the Statistical Data Revision Policy, and the main reasons are:

- Implementation of NACE Rev. 2 classification in the 2000-2008 series,
- Methodological improvements in accordance with ESA 95 and
- Implementation of ESA 2010 (European System of Accounts 2010).

The publication is organised in several sets of tables: published data, revised data according to ESA 95 and tables
with ESA 2010.

The ESA 2010 tables include revised data from the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia according to IMF’s
Balance of Payments Manual (BPM6).

A more detailed description of the methodology and the calculation methods can be found in the section on
methodological explanations of the publication and on the web site of the Office (www.stat.gov.mk).

The regular annual publications will be issued according to the Work Programme of the State Statistical Office and
will differ in content from this publication, as they will mainly contain detailed annual data.

The State Statistical Office will continue to implement the novelties that are introduced in the European Statistical
System in order to develop and improve the data it produces and, above all, to ensure comparability with other countries
of Europe and the world.

We hope that this publication will arouse interest among users of this type of statistics, especially among experts,
and the Office is always available for any explanations and clarifications if necessary.
