According to the State Statistical Office data, the number of marriages registered in 2020 was 10 278, a decrease of 25.6% compared to the previous year.
The most marriages were registered in August, 1 423 or 13.8%, and the fewest in April, 162 or 1.6%.
By marriage order, most were first marriages, with participation of 94.1% for women and 92.8% for men.
Men entered more often into second marriage, 6.5%, and third marriage, 0.6% of the total number of marriages.
In 2020, the highest number of marriages, 3 380 or 32.9% by age of bride were registered in the age group 20-24, while 3 780 or 36.8% by age of groom were registered in the age group 25-29.
The average age at first marriage is 27.0 years for bride and 29.7 for groom.
In 2020, there were 1 569 divorces, a decrease of 21.2% compared to 2019.
There were fewest divorces in in ??y, 29 or 1.8 %, while most in July, 199 or 12.7%.
The highest number of divorces by age of women, 278 or 17.7%, and by age of men, 262 or 27.7%, was recorded in the same age group, 35-39.
According to the duration of marriage, most divorces, 324 or 20.7%, took place 5 to 9 years after marriage.
