According to the State Statistical Office data, the number of marriages registered in 2014 was 13 813, a decrease of 1.2%
compared to the previous year.
Most marriages were registered in August, 13.2%, and the fewest in March, 5.8%.
By marriage order, most were first marriages, with participation of 92.7% for women and 90.6% for men.
Men entered more often into second marriage (8.7%) and third marriage (0.7% of the total number of marriages).
The average age at first marriage is 26.0 years for bride and 28.8 for groom.In 2014, there were 2 210 divorces, an increase of
8.1% compared to 2013.
There were fewest divorces in August (3.0%), and most in December (11.2%).
The highest number of divorces by age of wife was recorded in the age group 30-34, while for the husband in the age group
35-39.
