Marriages and divorces in the Republic of Macedonia in 2015 - final data -

According to the State Statistical Office data, the number of marriages registered in 2015 was 14 186, an increase of 2.7%
compared to the previous year.
The most marriages were registered in August, 1 844 or 13.0%, while the fewest in March, 702 or 4.9%.
By marriage order, most were first marriages, with participation of 92.6% for women and 91.2% for men.
Men entered more often into second marriage 8.1% and third marriage 0.7% of the total number of marriages.
The average age at first marriage is 26.2 years for bride and 29.0 for groom.In 2015, there were 2 200 divorces, a decrease of
0.5% compared to 2014.
There were fewest divorces in August, 74 or 3.4%, while most in December, 205 or 10.5%.
According to the duration of marriage, the most divorces 498 occurred 5 to 9 years after marriage.
