External Trade of the Republic of Macedonia,

Dear users,
The publication “External Trade of the Republic of Macedonia” is a regular annual edition prepared by the State Statistical
Office. This edition refers to the foreign trade in 2015.
The State Statistical Office applies the basic statistical standards, definitions and recommendations of the UN Statistics Division, harmonised with the standards, definitions and recommendations of the European Union’s Statistical Office - Eurostat in the statistical foreign trade survey, which enables international comparability of data. A high degree of harmonisation is achieved by introducing the Single Administrative Document, by implementation of the methodological definitions concerning the unit, time and territory of observation, partner country, value and quantity registration, as well as by implementation of the international classifications and nomenclatures such as: Standard International Trade Classification – SITC Rev.4, Country Nomenclature according to ISO-Code Alpha-2.
We expect that the scope of data in this publication and the manner of their presentation will assist users in analysing the
foreign trade situation of the Republic of Macedonia.
