TransMonEE indicators for measurement of development
The
Transformative Monitoring for Enhanced Equity (TransMonEE) Database captures a
vast range of data relevant to social and economic issues relevant to the
situation and well-being of children, young people and women in countries of
Central Eastern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CEE/CIS).
The data represent a particularly
useful tool for governments, civil society organizations, funding institutions
and academia.
The TransMonEE database was initiated
by the UNICEF in 1992, by collecting data for the previous three years. The
database is updated every year in collaboration with National Statistical
Offices (NSOs) in the countries of CEE/CIS.
The number of indicators is constantly
increasing, so in the last few years the database has grown to more than 400
indicators.
The indicators are divided into 11
topics: Population, Marriage and Divorce, Fertility, Mortality, Health,
Education, Child Protection, Crime, Social Protection, Child Well-being,
Economy.
The database contains data on the
following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Republic of Macedonia,
Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro,
Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia,
Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
