Unit Value Indices for the Exported and Imported Goods in the Republic of Macedonia, 1998-2010

 


Dear users,

The publication "Unit value indices for exported and imported goods in the Republic of Macedonia" contains the unit value indices for the period 1998-2010, calculated and adjusted with a new base year, 2010. The previous base year was 2005. These indices are used to monitor the changes in import and export prices over a given period of time, to guide production and international trade, and to monitor changes in the main imports and exports in external trade. Another application of these indices is as deflators in the system of national accounts.

This publication for calculation of export and import price indices is a second edition of the State Statistical Office, and it is based on the standards, definitions and recommendations of the UN.

We expect that the data in this publication and the way they are presented will allow users to analyse the situation in the external trade of the Republic of Macedonia.

Any comments and suggestions from data users would be greatly appreciated.
