Consumers optimistic about the economic situation over the next 12 months

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the value of the consumer confidence indicator in June 2010 increased by 1.2 percentage points compared to the value of the previous month. The increase was due to optimistic expectations for the financial situation of the households, economic situation of the households for the next 12 months, as well as the expectations for probability of savings.

In June 2010, the expectations for the financial situation of the households for the next 12 months were more satisfactory compared to their expectations in the previous month, as well as compared to June 2009.

In June 2010, the households assessed that the general economic situation in the country in the next 12 months will be more satisfactory compared to their assessment in May 2010.

As for the expectations for probability of savings, they were more optimistic in June 2010 compared to the previous month.

The estimates of unemployment over the next 12 months were unsatisfactory in June 2010 compared to the previous month.
