Consumer opinion survey, February 2011

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the value of the consumer confidence indicator in February 2011 decreased by 2.27 percentage points compared to the value of January 2011.
The decrease is due to the unfavourable expectations for the general economic situation of the country and the expectations for the probability of savings for the next 12 months.
The expectations for the probability of savings over the next 12 months were slightly more favourable in February 2011 compared to January 2011.
In February 2011, the expectations for the financial situation of the households for the next 12 months were less satisfactory compared to their expectations in January 2011, as well as compared to their expectations in February 2010.
In February 2011, the households assessed that the economic situation in the country over the next 12 months will be more unsatisfactory compared to their assessment in January 2011, whereas the expectations for unemployment over the next 12 months were more favourable.
