Consumer opinion survey, March 2011

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the value of the consumer confidence indicator in March 2011 decreased by 5.3 percentage points compared to the value of the previous month.

The decrease is due to the unfavourable expectations for the financial situation of the households, as well as the expectations regarding the probability of savings for the next 12 months.

The expectations for the probability of savings in the next 12 months, in March 2011 were less satisfactory compared with the expectations in the previous month.

The expectations for the financial situation of the households for the next 12 months, in March 2011 were less satisfactory compared to their expectations in the previous month, as well compared to their expectations in March 2010.

In March 2011, the households assessed that the economic situation in the country, as well as the unemployment, in the next 12 months will be more unsatisfactory compared to their assessment in the previous month.
