According to the data of the State Statistical Office, 197 persons have gained the title "Doctor of Science" in 2022, which is a reduction of 2% compared with 2021.
The largest part of doctorate holders, 31.0%, have gained their doctorate in the field of health and welfare, followed by 17.8% in the field of business, administration and law, 10.2% in social sciences, Journalism and Information, 9.1% in arts and humanities, while the rest of the fields were less represented.
The participation of females that have obtained a doctorate during 2022 was 99, or 50.3% of the total number of doctorates in 2022.
Of the total number of persons that have gained the title Doctor of Science, the highest proportion, 25.9%, work in human health and social work activities.
