Enrolled students in higher schools and faculties in the Republic of Macedonia in the academic year 2012/2013 (first cycle of studies)

According to the data of the State Statistical Office obtained on the basis of received reports, there were 56 906 enrolled students
in the Republic of Macedonia in the academic year 2012/2013.
The number of enrolled female students was 31 005 or 54.5%.
The majority of students, 86.8%, were enrolled in public tertiary institutions, 12.7% were enrolled in private tertiary institutions,
while 0.5% were enrolled in religious faculties.
There were 17 213 students enrolled in the first year of studies, which is 30.3% of the total (students that are enrolled in the first
year for the second time, third time or more are also covered here).
