Enrolled students in higher schools and faculties in the Republic of North Macedonia in the academic year 2022/2023 (first cycle of studies)

According to the data of the State Statistical Office obtained on the basis of received reports, there were 53 821 enrolled students in the
Republic of North Macedonia in the academic year 2022/2023, an increase of 4.2% compared to the academic year 2021/2022.
The number of enrolled female students was 30 969 or 57.5%.
The majority of students, 77.7%, were enrolled in public tertiary institutions, while 22.3% were enrolled in private tertiary institutions.
In the academic year 2022/2023, there were 15 097 students enrolled in the first year of studies, which is 28.1% of the total (students
that are enrolled in the first year for the second time, third time or more are also covered here).
