According to the final data of the State Statistical Office, the Skopje Region had the biggest share (42.8%) in the gross domestic product of the Republic of North Macedonia in 2017, while the Northeast Region had the smallest share (5.0%).
A higher gross domestic product per capita compared to the average of the Republic of North Macedonia was recorded in the Skopje Region, with an index of 141.8, Southeast Region with an index of 117.4 and Vardar Region with an index of 103.5. All other regions had gross domestic product per capita below the average of the Republic of North Macedonia.
