According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in April 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was
100.9, while the Consumer Price Index was 101.3.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index in April 2013, in comparison with the previous month by 1.3% is a result of the higher
indices of vegetable by 31.1%, fruit by 4.6%, cigarettes by 3.5%, eggs by 1.8%, fresh and sour milk and processed milk by 0.7%,
processed fruit and alcoholic beverages by 0.3% and meat and confectionery products by 0.2%.
In April, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by road by 5.0%, passenger transport by air by 4.6%,
communication services by 1.9%, personal transport equipment by 0.7%, health services by 0.5%, personal care services by 0.4%
and miscellaneous sevices n.e.c by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in April 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in processed fish
by 1.4%, other food products by 0.3 % and processed meat by 0.2%.
In April, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels and gas for households by 3.1%, oil derivatives by 2.8% and
furniture and personal care articles by 0.2%.
The Retail Price Index in April 2013, in comparison with April 2012, registered an increase by 0.9% while the Consumer Price
Index increased by 3.3%.
