According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in August 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was
100.5, while the Consumer Price Index was 100.3.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.3% in August 2013, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the
higher indices of cereal products by 2.0%, processed milk by 1.4%, fresh and sour milk by 0.9%, eggs by 0.8%, processed fish and
fats by 0.5%, processed vegetables and alcoholic beverages by 0.4%.
In August 2013, there was also an increase of indices of passenger transport by air by 19.5%, oil derivatives by 2.6%, liquid fuels
and gas for households by 1.4%, personal care articles by 0.5%, clothing and furniture by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in August 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was registred in fruit by 2.1%
and vegetables by 0.8%.
In August, there was also a decrease of the indices of central heating by 2.9%, footwear by 0.8% and household appliances by
0.2%.
The Retail Price Index in August 2013, in comparison with August 2012, registered an increase by 1.3%, while the Consumer Price
Index increased by 2.8%.
