The Retail Price Index in June 2010, compared with May 2010, was at the same level,
while the Consumer Price Index increased by 0.2%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in June 2010, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.0, while the Consumer Price Index was 100.2.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.2% is a result of the higher indices of fruit by 25.0%, fish by 0.8%, cereal products and processed meat by 0.6%, processed fish by 0.3%, dry fruit, other food products and alcoholic beverages by 0.2% and milk and sour milk by 0.1%.
In June, there was also an increase of the indices of postal and telecommunication services by 3.8%, education services by 0.8%, food in restaurants and hotels by 0.7%, package holidays by 0.3% and passenger transport by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in June 2010, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in vegetables by 5.9%, eggs by 3.1%, dairy products by 0.7% and processed fruit by 0.1%.
In June, there was also a decrease of the indices of oil derivates by 2.4%, means of education by 1.2%, transport equipment by 0.7% and vehicles maintenance by 0.1%.
The indices of the groups: Clothing and footwear, Housing, Hygiene and health and Miscellaneous services n.e.c, remained at the same level as in the previous month.
The Retail Price Index in June 2010, compared with June 2009, registered an increase by 2.5%, while the Consumer Price Index increased by 1.8%.
The value of the consumer basket for food and beverages for a four-member household in June 2010, calculated on the basis of retail prices, was 12 170 denars, and in comparison with the previous month it is lower by 1.7%.
