According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index and the Consumer Price Index in April 2012, in comparison with the previous month, were 101.1.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 1.1% is a result of the higher indices of eggs by 16.5%, fruit by 9.9%, vegetables by 5.5%, fish by 1.2%, meat by 0.5%, processed vegetables and fresh and sour milk by 0.4% and confectionery products by 0.3%.
In April, there was also an increase of the indices of materials for maintenance of the dwelling by 6.9%, footwear by 5.3%, oil derivatives by 2.8%, cosmetic products by 2.2%, education services and passenger transport by 1.9%, services for maintenance of the dwelling by 1.1%, medicines by 0.8%, liquid fuels and gas by 0.7%, other recreational items by 0.6%, personal care articles and services of personal care by 0.5%, clothing by 0.3%, food and beverages in restaurants and hotels by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in April 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fats by 1.4%, processed fish by 0.8%, processed fruit and dairy products by 0.3%, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages by 0.2%.
In April, there was also a decrease of the indices of means of education by 0.6%.
The Retail Price Index in April 2012, compared with April 2011, registered an increase by 3.2%, while the Consumer Price Index increased by 2.2%.
