According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in October 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was
99.7, while the Consumer Price Index was 100.2.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.2% is a result of the higher indices of eggs by 6.3%, meat by 2.9%, fish by 1.5%,
fats by 1.1%, processed meat by 0.8%, cereal products and fresh and sour milk by 0.7%, milk products by 0.6% and other food
products by 0.4%.
In October, there was also an increase of the indices of footwear by 5.0%, household textiles by 1.1%, clothing and personal care
articles by 0.9%, medicines by 0.6%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in October 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fruit by 4.0%
and vegetables by 2.0%.
In October, there was also a decrease of the indices of oil derivatives by 3.9%, solid fuels by 3.8%, passenger transport by air by
2.8%, liquid fuels and gas by 2.0% and household utensils by 0.2%.
The Retail Price Index in October 2012, compared with October 2011, registered an increase by 4.1%, while the Consumer Price
Index increased by 5.3%.
