According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in December 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.1, while the Consumer Price Index was 100.0.
The Retail Price Index and the Consumer Price Index in 2012, compared to 2011, increased by 3.3%.
The movement of the Retail Price Index in 2012 was different by certain groups of products. An increase of indices has been registered in the groups: Non-food industrial products by 5.8%, Agricultural products by 3.1%, Food industrial products by 2.4%, Services by 1.5% and Beverages by 0.4%.
The movement of the Consumer Price Index in 2012 was different by various groups of consumption, as well. An increase has been registered in the groups: Fuel and lighting by 11.1%, Clothing and footwear by 5.3%, Transport and communication services by 2.8%, Hygiene and health by 2.7%, Flat (rent, water and other services) by 2.5%, Food and Restaurants and hotels by 2.4%, Culture and entertainment by 1.6%, Household furnishings by 0.3% and Tobacco and beverages by 0.1%.
A decrease of indices has been registered in the group Miscellaneous services n.e.c by 0.2%.
The Retail Price Index in December 2012, compared to December 2011, increased by 3.9%, while the Consumer Price Index increased by 4.7%.
The Retail Price Index in December 2012, in comparison with the previous month, registered a minimal increase by 0.1%.
As a result of the retail price movements, the Consumer Price Index in December 2012 remained at the same level as in the previous month, but in certain groups of products and services some price movements were still recorded.
An increase of indices was registered in vegetables by 1.4%, eggs by 1.2%, meat by 0.7% and processed meat by 0.5%.
Also, an increase of the Consumer Price Index was registered in furniture by 0.9%, means of education by 0.5%, personal care articles and food and beverages at restaurants and hotels by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in December 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fats by 5.2%, fruit by 3.7%, fish by 0.8%, processed vegetables by 0.4% and dairy products by 0.3%.
In December, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels and gas for the households by 0.5% and oil derivatives by 0.2%.
