According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in March 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was
99.9, while the Consumer Price Index was 100.1.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.1% in March 2013, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the higher
indices of vegetables by 3.9%, fruit by 2.5%, processed fruit and fish by 0.7%, processed vegetables and non-alcoholic beverages
by 0.2%.
In March, there was also an increase of the indices of medicines by 3.7%, passenger transport by air by 2.8%, oil derivatives by
1.9%, food and beverages in restaurants and hotels by 0.4%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in March 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fats by 2.7%,
eggs by 1.3%, processed meat and other food products by 0.4% and dry fruits by 0.2%.
In March, there was also a decrease of the indices of central heating for households by 13.8%, personal transport equipment by
1.5%, footwear by 0.8%, clothing by 0.6%, liquid fuels and gas for households by 0.5% and personal care articles by 0.3%.
The Retail Price Index in March 2013, in comparison with March 2012, registered an increase by 1.0%, while the Consumer Price
Index increased by 3.1%.
