Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification, May 2013


According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal
consumption, in May 2013, in comparison with April 2013, was 99.8, while in comparison with May 2012 it was 103.4.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in May 2013, compared with April 2013, a decrease of indices has been registered in
the groups: Transport by 2.3%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.3%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2%
and Recreation and culture by 0.1%.
An increase of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Clothing and footwear by 0.9%, Restaurants and hotels by
0.6%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house, Health and Miscellaneous goods and services
by 0.4% and Alcoholic beverages, tobacco by 0.3%.
The indices of the groups Communication and Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
