According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in March 2021, in comparison with the previous month was 100.5, while the Retail Price Index was 100.6.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in March 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in oils and fats by 3.5%, fresh or chilled fruit by 2.1%, mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices by 1.0%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.8%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 0.4%, meat, spirits by 0.2%.
In March, there was also an increase in the indices of sewage collection by 8.2%, liquid fuels for household by 7.4%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 6.8%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 5.8%, information processing equipment by 5.5%, motor cars by 3.0%, gas for household by 2.3%, small electric household appliances, hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishment by 0.7%, water supply by 0.5%, furniture and furnishings by 0.3%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, carpets and other floor coverings, spare parts and accessories for the personal transport equipment, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in March 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fish and seafood by 0.6% and preserved fruit and fruit-based products by 0.3%.
In March, there was also a decrease of the indices of recording media by 0.9%, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture by 0.7%, footwear by 0.5%, pets and related products by 0.4% and garments by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2021, in comparison with March 2020, increased by 2.1%, while Retail Price Index increased by 2.6%.
