According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in April 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.7, while the Retail Price Index was 100.6.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in April 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in oils and fats by 10.8%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 7.2%, fresh or chilled fruit by 5.3%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.9%, fish and seafood by 0.8%, wine by 0.6%, bread and cereals by 0.2%.
In April, there was also an increase in the indices of liquid fuels for household by 15.6%, footwear by 1.9%, information processing equipment by 1.1%, gardens, plants and flowers by 1.0%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment, pets and related products, stationery and drawing materials by 0.9%, electric appliances for personal care by 0.8%, small electric household appliances, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.7%, bicycles by 0.6%, pharmaceutical products by 0.5%, materials for maintenance and repair of the dwelling by 0.4%, garments by 0.3%, services for maintenance and repair of the dwelling, carpets and other floor coverings, motor cars, passenger transport by road, recording media, hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in April 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices by 0.6%, whole milk by 0.5%, food products n.e.c by 0.3%.
In April, there was also a decrease of the indices of gas for household by 2.0%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 1.5%, solid fuels by 1.2%, books by 1.0%, other articles of clothing and clothing accessories by 0.3%, major household appliances, other appliances, articles and products for personal care 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in April 2021, in comparison with April 2020, increased by 2.7%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 3.7%.
