According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in October 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.5, while the Retail Price Index was 100.0.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in October 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 2.5%, oils and fats by 2.3%, bread and cereals by 1.8%, meat by 1.7%, food products n.e.c. by 1.2%, milk by 0.7%, cheese and curd by 0.5%, fish and seafood, spirits by 0.3%.
In October, there was also an increase in the indices of gas for household by 9.2%, liquid fuels for household by 5.2%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 4.3%, restaurants, cafes, and the like by 2.0%, footwear by 1.6%, domestic services and household services by 1.5%, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, solid fuels for household, jewellery, clocks and watches by 1.1%, gardens, plants and flowers by 1.0%, major and small household appliances by 0.9%, cleaning, repair and hire of clothing, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture, recreational and sporting services, accommodation services, hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments by 0.8%, carpets and floor coverings, games, toys and hobbies by 0.7%, household textiles, electric appliances for personal care by 0.6%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment by 0.5%, garments, furniture and furnishings by 0.4%, actual rentals paid by tenants, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment, information processing equipment, other personal effects by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in October 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 2.9%, fresh or chilled fruit by 2.0%, beer by 1.0%, mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetables juices, wine by 0.2%.
In October, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 13.3%, package holidays by 6.4%, bicycles by 1.3%, books by 1.1%, other services in respect of personal transport equipment by 0.4%, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.3%, motor cars, pets and related products by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in October 2021, in comparison with October 2020, increased by 4.1%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 6.1%.
