According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in April 2022, in comparison with the previous month, was 102.2,
while the Retail Price Index was 102.0.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in April 2022, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in oils and fats by 20.2%,
fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 12.9%, fresh or chilled fruit by 4.4%, cheese and curd by 3.7%, meat
by 3.4%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery, mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices by 2.3%, beer by 1.9%,
fish and seafood by 1.7%, coffee, tea and cocoa by 1.6%, food products n.e.c by 1.3%, bread and cereals by 0.8%, spirits by 0.7% and
wine by 0.2%.
In April, there was also an increase in the indices of passenger transport by air by 46.6%, package holidays by 8.9%, photographic and
cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 4.3%, gas for household by 4.1%, liquid fuels for household by 2.6%, cleaning,
repair and hire of clothing by 1.9%, carpets and other floor coverings by 1.8%, glassware, tableware and household utensils, major tools
and equipment by 1.7%, furniture and furnishings by 1.5%, footwear by 1.3%, solid fuels for household, pets and related products by
1.1%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.9%, small
tools and miscellaneous accessories, recreational and sporting services, hair dressing salons and personal grooming establishments by
0.8%, household textiles, major household appliances, passenger transport by road, games, toys and hobbies by 0.6%, therapeutical
appliances and equipment by 0.5%, garments, domestic services and household services by 0.4%, repair and hire of footwear, repair of
furniture, furnishings and floor coverings, dental services, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment, restaurants, cafes
and the like, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.3%, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, pharmaceutical products,
bicycles, other services in respect of personal transport equipment, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and
picture, stationery and drawing materials and other personal effects by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in April 2022, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in recording media by
2.6%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 0.9%, gardens, plants and flowers and electric appliances for personal
care by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index in April 2022, in comparison with April 2021, increased by 10.5%, while the Retail Price Index increased by
11.1%.
