According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in July 2023, in comparison with the previous month was 101.0, while the Retail price index was 101.6.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2023, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 12.6%, bread and cereals by 3.8%, cheese and curd by 1.8%, fish and seafood, milk by 0.9%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.5%, beer by 0.3% and meat by 0.2%.
In July, there was also an increase in the indices of passenger transport by air by 30.9%, electricity by 4.3%, accommodation services by 4.2%, domestic services and household services by 2.8%, liquid fuels for household by 2.5%, hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments by 2.4%, miscellaneous printed matter by 2.2%, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment by 1.8%, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, small tools and miscellaneous accessories by 0.9%, glassware, tableware and household utensils, major tools and equipment, dental services by 0.7%, pets and related products, restaurants, caffes and the like by 0.6%, package holidays, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.4%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 0.3%, stationery and drawing materials by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in July 2023, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 4.8%, oils and fats by 3.6%, spirits by 0.9%, coffee, tea and cocoa by 0.6%, food products n.e.c, wine by 0.2%.
In July 2023, there was also a decrease of the indices of gas for household by 7.1%, recording media by 5.2%, paramedical services by 4.7%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 3.9%, tertiary education by 2.7%, information processing equipment by 1.3%, small electric household appliances by 0.9%, games, toys and hobbies by 0.8%, electric appliances for personal care by 0.7%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 0.6%, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture by 0.5%, other articles of clothing and clothing accessories, non-durable household goods by 0.4%, gardens, plants, and flowers by 0.3%, equipment for sport, camping and open–air recreation, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in July 2023, in comparison with July 2022, increased by 8.4%, while Retail Price Index increased by 4.9%.
