According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in July 2014, in comparison with the previous month, was
100.2, while the Retail Price Index was 100.6.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.2% in July 2014, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the higher
indices of fresh fruit by 5.8%, bread and bakery products by 1.3%, chocolate products by 0.7% and dry fruit by 0.6%.
In July, there was also an increase of the indices of tobacco by 5.5%, electricity for households by 3.6%, gas for households by
2.7%, flowers and accommodation services by 2.4%, liquid fuels and lubricants by 2.0%, liquid fuels for households by 1.0%,
medicines by 0.9%, bicycles and beverages in the restaurants and hotels by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in July 2014, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh vegetables
by 8.3%, grist by 4.1%, canned fish by 1.1%, non-alcoholic beverages by 0.9%, sour milk by 0.8%, pasta by 0.7%, preserved meat
products by 0.6%, fresh milk and canned vegetables by 0.4%, durable sausage products, fish, processed milk and other food
products by 0.3%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of means of cleaning and maintenance for the dwelling by 0.6% and footwear
by 0.4%.
The Consumer Price Index in July 2014, in comparison with July 2013, registered an increase by 0.3%, while the Retail Price Index
is at the same level.
