According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in October 2014, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.2, while the Retail Price Index was 99.9.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.2% in October 2014, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the
higher indices of fresh vegetables by 5.8%, marmalades by 1.4%, canned vegetables by 0.9%, fats by 0.7%, bread and cereals,
semi-durable sausage products and chocolate products by 0.5%, processed potato by 0.4%, processed milk and other milk
products by 0.2%.
In October, there was also an increase of the indices of solid fuels by 2.6%, footwear by 2.4%, water supply, refuse collection and
other services for dwelling by 2.2%, clothing by 1.2%, information processing equipment by 0.7%, cleaning and maintenance
products and other services n.e.c by 0.6%, miscellaneous personal care and personal care services by 0.4%, household textile by
0.3%, medicines, other recreational items, equipment, gardens, pets and personal effects by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in October 2014, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh fruit by
7.2%, sugar by 1.5%, other services n.e.c by 0.7%, preserved meat products by 0.6%, cured meat products by 0.5%, fresh milk by
0.4%, sour milk, canned fruit and alcoholic beverages by 0.3% and meat by 0.2%.
In October, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 7.7%, liquid fuels for households by 2.6%,
liquid fuels and lubricants by 1.6%, gas for households by 0.9%, services for culture by 0.4% and household appliances by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in October 2014, in comparison with October 2013, registered a decrease by 0.4%, while the Retail
Price index decreased by 1.6%.
