According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in March 2015, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.5, while the Retail Price Index was 100.9.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.5% in March 2015, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the higher
indices of fresh fruit by 5.9%, fresh vegetables by 2.9%, fresh milk by 1.3%, pasta, canned meat products, sour milk, sugar, jam,
honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.7% and alcoholic beverages by 0.3%.
In March 2015, in comparison with the previous month, there was also an increase of the indices of liquid fuels for households
by 13.0%, gas for households and liquid fuels and lubricants by 9.6%, medicines by 6.5%, information processing equipment
by 2.3%, other services n.e.c by 1.0%, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling and cleaning and maintenance
products for the dwelling by 0.8% and jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.6%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in March 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in other food
products n.e.c by 2.2%, canned fish by 1.5%, meat and frozen vegetables by 0.6%, fish by 0.4%, processed milk and dry fruit by
0.2%.
In March, there was also a decrease of the indices of hospital services by 5.2%, materials for the maintenance and repair of
the dwelling by 3.7%, telephone and telefax equipment and telephone and telefax services by 3.5%, purchase of vehicles and
package holidays by 1.3%, culture services by 1.0%, footwear by 0.8%, and personal effects n.e.c by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2015, in comparison with March 2014, registered a decrease by 0.3%, while the Retail Price
Index decreased by 0.8%.
