According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in April 2015, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.4, while the Retail Price Index was 99.9.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.4% in April 2015, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the higher
indices of fresh vegetables by 3.9%, fresh fruit by 1.3%, dry fruit by 0.7%, other bakery products and semi-durable sausages by
0.4% and fresh milk by 0.3%.
In April 2015, in comparison with the previous month, there was also an increase of the indices of maintenance and repair
of personal transport equipment by 3.7%, information processing equipment by 3.3%, hospital services by 3.2%, passenger
transport by air by 2.6%, household textile by 2.3%, cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling by 2.0%, other personal
effects by 1.6%, bicycles by 1.4%, personal care articles by 1.3%, footwear by 1.1%, clothing and major household appliances by
0.7%, medicines and therapeutic appliances by 0.6%, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.5%, small household appliances, motor
cycles, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and pictures and food in restaurants and hotels by 0.4%,
solid fuels and liquid fuels and lubricants by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in April 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in other food
products n.e.c by 1.7%, cured meat products by 0.6%, frozen vegetables by 0.4% and pasta by 0.3%.
In April, there was also a decrease of the indices of gas for household by 9.1%, package holidays by 6.6%, liquid fuels for household by 2.8%, gardens, plants and flowers by 1.7%, telephone and telefax equipment and telephone and telefax services by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index in April 2015, in comparison with April 2014, registered an increase by 0.1%, while the Retail Price
Index decreased by 0.9%.
