According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in August 2015, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.0, while the Retail Price Index was 100.4.
The Consumer Price Index in August 2015, in comparison with the previous month, remained at the same level, but there were
movements in the prices in some subgroups. An increase in the indices was registered in fresh vegetables by 2.7%, fresh fruit by
1.7%, cured meat products and fish by 0.6%, dry fruit and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.3%, durable sausage products, fresh milk,
frozen vegetables and confectionery by 0.2%.
In August 2015, in comparison with the previous month, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by air
by 31.4%, solid fuels and beverages in restaurants by 0.8%, food in restaurants by 0.5%, services for maintenance and repair of
the dwelling, small household appliances, personal care services, personal care articles, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in August 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was recorded in eggs by
1.9%, cereal products by 1.7%, canned meat products by 0.8%, food products n.e.c by 0.5%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and
confectionery by 0.4%, fresh meat and processed milk by 0.2%.
In August, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels for households by 10.7%, accommodation services by 4.4%,
liquid fuels and lubricants by 3.6%, footwear by 1.7%, gas for households by 1.0% and heat energy by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in August 2015, in comparison with August 2014, registered an increase by 0.1%, while the Retail Price
Index decreased by 0.8%.
