According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in March 2016, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.1%, while the Retail Price Index was 100.2%.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index in March 2016, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the higher indices
of fresh or chilled fruit by 2.7%, eggs by 1.1%, dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables, sugar, jam, honey,
chocolate and confectionery by 0.5%, fresh or chilled fish by 0.3%, edible offal and other food products by 0.2%.
In March 2016, in comparison with the previous month, there was also an increase of the indices of liquid fuels for household
by 9.8%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 6.5%, other services in respect of personal
transport equipment by 3.0%, gardens, plants and flowers by 2.4%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment
by 2.3%, passenger transport by air by 1.9%, cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling and package holidays by
1.8%, liquid fuels and lubricants for household by 1.1%, cultural services by 1.0%, tobacco, telephone and telefax equipment
and telephone and telefax services by 0.9%, household textiles by 0.6%, passenger transport by road by 0.5%, major household
appliances, information processing equipment and electric appliances for personal care by 0.4%, small electric appliances by
0.3%, gas for household, other medical products n.e.c., services for personal care and personal care articles by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in March 2016, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or
chilled vegetables other than potatoes by 1.4%, oils and fats by 0.9%, rice by 0.6%, milk and frozen fruit by 0.5%, non-alcoholic
beverages by 0.4% and other meat preparations by 0.2%.
In March, there was also a decrease of the indices of hospital services by 4.3%, carpets and other floor coverings by 1.8% and
footwear by 0.4%.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2016, in comparison with March 2015, registered a decrease by 0.4%, while the Retail Price
Index decreased by 1.1%.
