According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in July 2016, in comparison with the previous month, was
99.7, while the Retail Price Index was 100.1.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in July 2016, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled
vegetables other than potatoes by 8.2%, eggs by 1.0%, cheese by 0.8%, rice, frozen fish and milk by 0.5%, potatoes by 0.4%, other
bakery products, yoghurt and sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.3%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of information processing equipment by 2.3%, liquid fuels and lubricants for
household by 1.5%, footwear and medicines by 1.2%, solid fuels for household by 0.8%, other medical products by 0.7%, clothing
and liquid fuels for household by 0.6%, household furniture by 0.3%, materials for maintenance and repair of the dwelling and
electricity for household by 0.2%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2016, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in other food
products by 1.5%, other preserved or processed fish and seafood by 0.9%, dried fruit and nuts by 0.6%, fresh or chilled fruit by
0.5%, dried, salted or smoked meat and dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables by 0.4% and edible offal by
0.3%.
In July 2016, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by air by 11.9%, accommodation services by 9.1%,
package holidays by 4.0%, games and hobbies by 3.5%, cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling by 1.9%, gas for
household by 1.5%, social protection by 1.0%, articles for personal hygiene and wellness by 0.8%, services for personal care
by 0.7%, household textiles, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 0.4%, major and small
electric household appliances by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index and the Retail Price Index in July 2016, in comparison with July 2015, registered a decrease by 0.3%.
