According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in October 2016, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.0, while the Retail Price Index was 99.7.
The Consumer Price Index in October 2016, in comparison with the previous month, remained at the same level, but there were
movements in the prices in some subgroups.
An increase in the indices was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes by 1.1%, non-alcoholic beverages by
0.4%, meat and milk by 0.3%.
In October 2016, there was also an increase of the indices of package holidays by 4.9%, footwear by 3.4%, gas for household
by 2.9%, hospital services by 2.8%, household textiles by 1.3%, liquid fuels for household by 0.8%, liquid fuels and lubricants by
0.7%, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.6%, household furnishings by 0.5%, clothes, small electric household appliances and
medicines by 0.4%, major household appliances by 0.3%, games, toys and hobbies by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in October 2016, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or
chilled fruit by 5.4%, other bakery products by 1.7%, dry fruit and nuts by 1.1%, frozen vegetables other than potatoes by 0.8%,
oils and fats by 0.7%, rice by 0.5%, food products n.e.c by 0.4%, fish and seafood by 0.3%.
In October, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 17.6%, information processing equipment
by 2.4%, medical services and paramedical services by 1.9%, cleaning and maintenance of the dwelling by 1.6%, services and
articles for personal care by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index in October 2016, in comparison with October 2015, registered an increase by 0.2%, while the Retail
Price Index increased by 0.5%.
