Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification, September 2010

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in September 2010, in comparison with August 2010, was 100.1, while in comparison with September 2009, it was 102.0.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in September 2010, compared with August 2010, an increase has been registered in the groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.8%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.1%.

A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Education by 9.5%, Recreation and culture by 2.5% and Communication by 1.7%.

The indices of the groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Clothing and footwear, Health, Transport and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the previous month.
