According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in March 2018, in comparison with the previous month, was
100.0, while the Retail Price Index was 99.9.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2018, in comparison with the previous month, remained at the same level, but there were
movements in the prices in some subgroups. An increase in the Consumer Price Index in March 2018, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 7.1%, cereals by 1.6%, frozen fruit by 1.2%, potatoes by 0.9%, milk by 0.8%, cheese and curd by 0.5%, other bakery products by 0.3% and edible offal by 0.2%.
In March 2018, there was also an increase of the indices of telephone and telefax equipment by 3.3%, articles for personal hygiene and wellness by 1.2%, personal care services by 1.1%, cleaning and maintenance products of the dwelling, package holidays by 0.9%, footwear by 0.7%, spare parts for personal transport equipment by 0.6%, major electric appliances, cultural services by 0.5%, clothing, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, glassware, tableware and household utensils, bicycles by 0.4%, other services relating to the dwelling n.e.c, stationary and drawing materials, accommodation services by 0.3%, household textiles, tools and equipment for house and garden, camping and open-air recreation, gardens, plants and flowers by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in March 2018, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in rice by 1.5%, dried fruit and nuts by 1.1%, food products n.e.c by 0.9%, meat by 0.7%, eggs by 0.6%, fish and seafood, yoghurt by 0.5%, dried, salted or smoked meat by 0.3%.
In March, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels for households by 3.7%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 3.2%, hospital services by 3.1%, liquid fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 2.7%, books by 2.6%, gas for households by 2.5%, recording media by 2.3%, passenger transport by air by 1.6%, information processing equipment by 1.3%, equipment for the reception, recording and reproduction of sound and vision by 0.8%, solid fuels by 0.5%, household furniture by 0.3% and other medical products by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2018, in comparison with March 2017, increased by 1.6%, while the Retail Price Index increased by
2.9%.
