According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in October 2018, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.3, while the Retail Price Index was 100.4.
An increase of the Consumer Price Index in October 2018, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 4.3%, dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables by 1.8%, frozen fruit by 1.1%, food products n.e.c by 0.8%, fish and seafood by 0.7%, edible offal, yoghurt by 0.5%, preserved fruit and fruit-based products by 0.4%, bread and cereals and alcoholic beverages by 0.2%.
In October 2018, there was also an increase of the indices of gas for household by 6.6%, liquid fuels for household by 6.0%, liquid fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 4.4%, footwear, accommodation services by 2.7%, veterinary and other services for pets by 1.4%, package holidays by 1.1%, medicines by 0.8%, clothing by 0.7%, solid fuels by 0.5%, recording media by 0.4%, cultural services by 0.3%, other medical products, information processing equipment, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in October 2018, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 6.0%, dry fruit and nuts by 3.5%, oils and fats by 1.8%, other meat preparations by 0.5%, meat, cheese and curd by 0.2%.
In October, there was also a decrease of the indices of cleaning and maintenance products of the dwelling by 1.4%, telephone and telefax equipment by 1.3%, passenger transport by air by 1.1%, paramedical services by 0.9%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments, pets and related products by 0.4% and major household appliances by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index in October 2018, in comparison with October 2017, increased by 1.5%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 2.7%.
