Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification,
March 2011

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal
consumption, in March 2011, in comparison with February 2011, was 101.7, while in comparison with March 2010 it was 105.2.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in March 2011, compared with February 2011, an increase of indices has been
registered in the groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 3.0%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 2.9%,
Transport by 1.0%, Restaurants and hotels by 0.8%, Health by 0.6%, Clothing and footwear and Recreation and culture by 0.3%
and Communication by 0.1%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and Miscellaneous
goods and services by 0.1%.
The indices of the groups: Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Education remained at
the same level as in the previous month.
