Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classifcation, April 2011

According to the State Statistical Offce data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in April 2011, in comparison with March 2011, was 100.3, while in comparison with April 2010 it was 104.8.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in April 2011, compared with March 2011, an increase of indices has been registered in the groups: Recreation and culture by 1.6%, Food and non -alcoholic beverages and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.6%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Clothing and footwear, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Transport by 0.1%.

A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the group Communication by 0.6%.

The indices of the groups: Health, Education and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the previous month.
