According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the value of total purchase and sale of agricultural products in August 2013 was 1 089 688 thousand denars, which is an increase of 57.7% compared with August 2012.
The value of purchased agricultural products from individual producers increased by 34.4%, while the value of sold agricultural products from own production increased by 69.4%.
The value of purchase and sale increased in the following agricultural products: Cereals, Fruits, Grapes, Milk and Fish, whereas a decrease was registered in the following agricultural products: Industrial crops, Vegetables, Fodder, Alcoholic beverages, Livestock, Poultry and eggs and Dairy products.
