According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the purchase and sale of agricultural products in the first quarter of 2016 decreased by 14.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The value of purchased agricultural products from individual producers decreased by 20.8%, while the value of sold agricultural products from own production increased by 25.8%.
The value of total purchase and sale increased in the following agricultural products: Vegetables and Fodder crops, Fruits, Alcoholic beverages, Livestock, Poultry and eggs, Milk, Dairy products and Fish, while a decrease was observed in the following agricultural products: Cereals and Industrial crops.
The monthly distribution of the value of purchase and sale of agricultural products shows an increase in January and March, while in February there was a decrease in the value of purchase and sale of agricultural products.
