Estimation of the managers of the business entities in the manufacturing industry about the
business situation in March 2010

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the business situation of the business entities in March 2010 according to the
managers is less satisfactory compared to the previous month. The situation with the present volume of production orders is also
less satisfactory. The production volume of the business entities in March 2010 decreased compared to the previous month; the
expectations for the production volume are very optimistic for the next three months, as well as the expectations for the number
of employees. The stocks of raw materials and intermediate goods and the provision of raw materials and intermediate goods in
March 2010 are below the normal level. The stocks of finished products increased compared to the previous month. In the next
period the average purchasing prices of the inputs will increase, as well as the average selling prices of the finished goods. The
average capacity utilization level of the business entities in March 2010, compared to the previous month, increased to 55.5% of
normal utilization. The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in March 2010 were: insufficient
foreign demand with 26.3%, insufficient domestic demand with 19.3%, financial problems with 11.7%, and uncertainty of the
economic environment with 9.1%.
