Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in November 2021


The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in November 2021, standing at 14.5, is 0.2 percentage points lower compared to October 2021 and 1 percentage point higher compared to November 2020. The situation with the current volume of production orders in November 2021 is more favourable compared to the previous month, the expectations for the production volume for the next three months are less favourable, while the stocks of finished goods remained unchanged. The estimation of the economic situation is less satisfactory compared to the previous month, but more satisfactory compared to November 2020. The number of employees is expected to decrease. The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in November 2021 decreased to 69.6% of normal utilization. The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in November 2021 were: insufficient foreign demand with 20.1%, uncertainty of the economic environment with 15.5%, shortage of skilled labour with 15.0%, and insufficient domestic demand with 12.9%.
