Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in February 2016


The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in February 2016 is 0.8
percentage points higher than the previous month, and 8.3 percentage points higher compared to February 2015.
The situation with the current volume of production orders in February 2016 is more satisfactory compared to the previous
month, the expectations for the production volume for the next three months are that it will increase, while the stocks of finished
products have remained unchanged.
The estimation of the economic situation is that it is more satisfactory compared to the previous month, as well as compared to
February 2015. The expectations for the number of employees are that it will decrease.
The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in February 2016 increased to 64.6% of normal utilization.
The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in February 2016 were: insufficient foreign demand
with 20.5%, insufficient domestic demand with 18.1%, shortage of skilled labour with 16.8% and financial problems with 9.1%.
