Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in July 2017


The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in July 2017 is 0.4
percentage points higher than the previous month, and 2 percentage points higher compared to July 2016.
The situation with the current volume of production orders in July 2017 is more satisfactory compared to the previous month,
the expectations for the production volume for the next three months are also more satisfactory, and the stocks of finished goods
have increased compared to June 2017.
The estimation of the economic situation is more satisfactory compared to the previous month, and more satisfactory compared
to July 2016.The number of employees is expected to increase.
The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in July 2017 increased to 65.3% of normal utilization.
The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in July 2017 were: insufficient foreign demand
with 20.0%, shortage of skilled labour with 19.2%, insufficient domestic demand with 17.9% and uncertainty of the economic
environment with 12.4%.
