Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in November 2017

The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in November 2017 is 0.3
percentage points higher than the previous month, and 1.6 percentage points higher compared to November 2016.
The situation with the current volume of production orders in November 2017 is more satisfactory compared to the previous
month, while the expectations for the production volume are unsatisfactory for the next three months. The stocks of finished
goods have remained at the same level as in October 2017.
The estimation of the economic situation is more satisfactory compared to the previous month, as well as compared to November
2016. The number of employees is expected to increase slightly.
The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in November 2017 increased to 66.6% of normal utilization.
The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in November 2017 were: insufficient foreign
demand with 21.0%, shortage of skilled labour with 20.3%, insufficient domestic demand with 18.4% and uncertainty of the
economic environment with 11.6%.
