Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in February 2018

The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in February 2018 is 0.3
percentage points higher than the previous month, and 2.4 percentage points higher compared to February 2018.


The situation with the current volume of production orders in February 2018 is more satisfactory compared to the previous
month, as well as the expectations for the production volume for the next three months.


The stocks of finished goods have decreased compared to January 2018. The estimation of the economic situation is more
satisfactory compared to the previous month, as well as compared to February 2018. The number of employees is expected to
increase.


The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in February 2018 increased to 66.9% of normal utilization.


The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in February 2018 were: shortage of skilled labour
with 21.4%, insufficient foreign demand with 19.0%, insufficient domestic demand with 18.4%, and uncertainty of the economic
environment with 10.4%.
