Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in June 2019

The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in June 2019, standing at 21.3, is 0.3 percentage points higher compared to May 2019 and 1.5 percentage points higher compared to June 2018.
The situation with the current volume of production orders in June 2019 is more favourable compared to the previous month, as well as the expectations for the production volume for the next three months, while the stocks of finished goods have increased compared to May 2019. The estimation of the economic situation is more satisfactory compared to the previous month, also compared to June 2018.
The number of employees is expected to increase. The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in June 2019 increased to 69.9% of normal utilization.
The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in June 2019 were: shortage of skilled labour with 26.2%, insufficient foreign demand with 15.6%, insufficient domestic demand with 14.4% and uncertainty of the economic environment with 11.9%.
