Business tendencies in manufacturing industry in ?uly 2019


The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in manufacturing industry in July 2019, standing at 21.2, is 0.1 percentage points lower compared to June 2019 and 1.3 percentage points higher compared to July 2018.

The situation with the current volume of production orders in July 2019 is less favourable compared to the previous month, the expectations for the production volume for the next three months are also less favourable and  the stocks of finished goods have decreased compared to June 2019.

The estimation of the economic situation is less satisfactory compared to the previous month, but more satisfactory compared to July 2018. The number of employees is expected to decrease.

The average capacity utilization level of the business entities in July 2019 decreased to 69.5% of normal utilization.

The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the production volume in July 2019 were: shortage of skilled labour with 26.3%, insufficient foreign demand with 17.9%, insufficient domestic demand with 13.9% and uncertainty of the economic environment
 with 11.1%.
